One of the largest and best equipped Camping In The Forest sites, Holmsley Caravan Park and Campsite occupies part of what used to be Holmsley Airfield during the Second World War, one of 12 wartime airfields and Advanced Landing Grounds in the New Forest.
The aircraft hardstandings and taxiways make for the campsite roads and parking spots, so if you’re interested in the New Forest’s wartime history, then this is a good place to stay!

ToggleBoasting 600 pitches and full amenities, the Holmsley site is in an ideal location for exploring the south-western corner of the New Forest National Park and is very close to the rural village of Burley.
Campsite facilities: 600 pitches, Premium pitches available, seasonal pitches available, pre-pitched Tourers available, children’s play area, baby changing facilities, disabled facilities, on-site shop, toilets & showers, launderette, recycling bins, dogs welcome.
The site is open 29th March until 29th October.

How to get to Holmsley Caravan Park & Campsite
The campsite is on the northern side of the busy A35 Lyndhurst to Christchurch road, about 8 miles from Lyndhurst, but cannot be accessed from the Lyndhurst direction. Best access is to head for Burley and then exit the village to the southwest, heading for Thorney Hill and Bransgore.
Drive across the open heath and immediately before Thorney Hill, turn right at a small crossroads. Follow this narrow road for just under one mile, the campsite entrance is on the left.
