About this tour
This 2½-hour Beverley tour pairs the town's medieval character with a progressive afternoon tea. You'll craft your own tea course by course across historic venues—a cosy pub among them—sampling locally made sausage rolls, fresh sandwiches, artisan chocolate, and cakes. Between bites, guides share Beverley's backstory and how afternoon tea became tradition. Winter-focused, with minimal walking and maximum warmth indoors.

What to expect
Expect a gentle ramble through Beverley's older quarters, broken up by unhurried sitting and eating in characterful rooms. You'll build your tea incrementally—sandwiches first, then pastries, then sweets—giving plenty of time for conversation between courses. The guide weaves in local history and context around tea culture itself, so you're learning as you go. Distances covered are modest (roughly one mile total), and the emphasis shifts indoors once the weather turns; you'll spend most time settled with a cup rather than on your feet.
