About this tour
Rent a Lapierre electric bike and explore East Sussex at your own pace, covering terrain that would exhaust a standard bicycle. You choose the routes, the stops, and the rhythm—whether that's a leisurely hour pedalling through villages or an eight-hour countryside loop. The motor does the heavy lifting on climbs and headwinds, leaving you free to notice the landscape rather than just battle it.
Highlights
- Lapierre electric bikes reduce pedalling effort on hills
- Design your own route across East Sussex
- Helmet provided; service animals welcome
- Flexible hire from one to eight hours
- Reach distant spots without burning out
- Independent exploration on two wheels
What to expect
You'll collect your bike with a helmet included. The electric motor kicks in as you pedal, making gradients manageable and longer distances achievable. There's no fixed itinerary—you're free to wander quiet lanes, visit market towns, or follow coastal paths. The bike handles like a standard touring bike but with assistance that lets you climb without dismounting or deep fatigue. Rental duration is flexible, so you can do a quick morning spin or a full-day adventure. Public transport links nearby offer backup if you need to cut things short.
Good to know
Moderate fitness is essential; the motor assists but doesn't eliminate pedalling. Not suitable for pregnant travellers or those with spinal injuries or cardiovascular concerns. Service animals can join you. Public transport nearby if needed.
