About this tour
Spend four hours tackling boulder problems across Wiltshire's lesser-known climbing destination. This workshop suits climbers of all abilities, from complete beginners to advanced boulderers, with routes graded V0 through V9. All equipment is provided, and the site is accessible by public transport. You'll work on technique, problem-solving, and building strength in a outdoor setting alongside climbers at your level.
Highlights
- Boulders graded V0 to V9 for varied skill levels
- All climbing gear supplied and fitted
- Hidden Wiltshire crag, quiet and less crowded
- Four-hour guided session with structured progression
- Public transport access near the site
What to expect
After a safety briefing and warm-up, you'll move between boulder problems matching your ability. The instructor will demonstrate technique and spotting practices, then you'll attempt routes repeatedly, learning to read movement sequences. Expect to fail often—that's the point. You'll rest between attempts, chat with other climbers, and gradually work toward harder problems. The session builds stamina as much as technique; bring water and expect to use your full body.
Good to know
Arrive with good cardiovascular fitness and a healthy spine. Climbing shoes and chalk are provided. The site is outdoors, so weather affects conditions. Pregnant travellers and those with spinal issues should skip this. Bring water and a small towel.
