Angel Valley is a straightforward 470-metre stroll on fine gravel near Brockenhurst, ideal for a quick leg-stretch or families with young children. What to expect
A level, easy walk on well-maintained fine gravel. The route crosses open New Forest heathland and grassland, so expect to share the space with grazing livestock—ponies, cattle and donkeys roam freely. The ground is generally dry and firm underfoot, though it may be muddy in wet spells. Waymarking is clear.

Dogs are welcome but should be kept under control near livestock and away from ground-nesting birds (March–July). The path is on open access land, free to use year-round. Wear sturdy walking shoes for comfort on gravel. After heavy rain, muddy patches may appear—the New Forest's boggy nature means conditions can change quickly.
