Wood Lane is a straightforward 1.7 km gravel track near Beaulieu, ideal for a quick walk or family outing. The route follows a well-maintained forest track through mixed woodland, taking around 25 minutes at an easy pace. It's open to the public year-round and welcomes dogs.

What to expect
A flat to gently undulating gravel track shaded by trees. The surface is well-drained and easy to walk on, with minimal waymarking needed as the route is clear and direct. You may encounter ponies, cattle or donkeys on the open access land, so keep dogs under control. After heavy rain, expect softer patches and possible puddles.
Good to know
- Dogs welcome (keep under control near livestock & wildlife)
No facilities or charges apply. Wear sturdy footwear suited to forest terrain. Dogs must be kept under close control from March to July owing to ground-nesting birds, and always around grazing livestock. The track can be muddy after rain despite the gravel surface.
