A very short footpath near Hythe, ideal for a quick leg-stretch or as part of a longer New Forest walk. At just 110 metres, Chapel Street is an easy, level stroll through open-access land. It makes a practical addition to exploring the wider area on foot.

What to expect
Easy, level walking on grassed or gravelled ground. The route is short and straightforward with clear passage underfoot. You may encounter free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys on the open heath. The path is well-defined and easy to follow. No significant elevation or obstacles.

Dogs are allowed on this open-access footpath but keep them under control near livestock and away from ground-nesting birds (March–July). Wear sensible footwear; ground can be muddy after rain. There is no charge for access. This is a short stroll best combined with other New Forest routes for a fuller outing.
