- Several notable climbs and descents
- Waymarked route with minimal navigation worry

What to expect
A mix of woodland tracks, gravel paths and open heath with variable gradient—several steep climbs and descents warrant the 'challenging' grade. Ground can be boggy after rain, particularly in lower-lying sections near the bay. Surfaces range from firm forest tracks to softer earth and grass. Livestock graze freely on open access land; waymarking is clear and regular.
Good to know
- Dogs welcome (keep under control near livestock & wildlife)
- Waymarked route
Wear sturdy, waterproof boots; the terrain becomes muddy in wet weather. Dogs are welcome on open access but should be kept under control near grazing animals and away from ground-nesting birds (March to July). Allow 3 hours 15 minutes plus breaks.
