What to expect
Easy walking on well-defined paths through woodland, mostly firm underfoot but potentially muddy after rain in places. Flat gradient throughout. Clear waymarking makes navigation simple. You may encounter free-roaming ponies, cattle or donkeys grazing in the valley—keep a safe distance and don't feed them. Dogs are welcome on open access land.
