What to expect
A straightforward gravel forest track with minimal gradient. The surface is generally firm underfoot, though can be muddy after rain. You may encounter ponies, cattle or donkeys on open access land. The route is short and level, requiring no special fitness or navigation skills.

Dogs are welcome but keep them under control near livestock and away from ground-nesting birds (March to July). Wear sturdy footwear or suitable bike tyres for muddy conditions. There's no charge for access. The track is part of the free open access network across the New Forest.
