A short bridleway near Burley linking open heathland with woodland, typical of the New Forest's mixed terrain. The route is straightforward and traffic-free, suitable for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. At just 1.4 km, it works well as a standalone stroll or as part of a longer forest circuit.

What to expect
Mostly gravel and forest track underfoot, with patches of loose stone. Flat to gently rolling terrain. The path is well-defined and easy to follow. Expect to encounter free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys on the open sections. After rain, muddy patches are common on woodland sections.

- Open to horse riders
Dogs are welcome on open access land but keep them under control near grazing animals and avoid the heathland during bird-nesting season (March to July). Wear sturdy footwear or appropriate cycling shoes; ground can be boggy after wet weather. No facilities or charges; park responsibly in Burley.
