What to expect
A mix of gravel forest tracks and firmer ground suitable for hybrid or mountain bikes. Gradient is gentle overall, with occasional slight rises. The route is clearly waymarked throughout. Good to know
- Dogs welcome (keep under control near livestock & wildlife)
- Open to cyclists
- Waymarked route
Dogs are welcome on open access land but must be kept under close control near grazing animals. Wear sturdy cycling shoes with good grip; the gravel tracks can be loose in places. There's no charge for access. Check conditions after rainfall as tracks can become waterlogged. A hybrid or mountain bike is recommended over a road bike.
