What to expect
A straightforward walk on well-maintained concrete underfoot with minimal gradient. The route is short enough to feel undemanding and is likely well-marked or obvious to follow. You may encounter free-roaming Forest ponies, cattle or donkeys in nearby open areas, so keep dogs under control. Suitable for all mobility levels.
Good to know
- Dogs welcome (keep under control near livestock & wildlife)
- Firm/surfaced — more accessible going
No boots required; trainers or casual shoes will do. This is open-access land with no access charge. If dogs are off-lead, keep them close around livestock and away from open areas during March to July when ground-nesting birds are active.
