Lordswood Greenway is an easy bridleway through mixed woodland and open glades just north of Totton. The gravel surface and gentle terrain make it accessible to walkers, cyclists and horse riders alike. This short, straightforward route is ideal for a half-hour outing or as part of a longer loop through the Forest.

What to expect
A well-maintained gravel surface underfoot with minimal gradient. The route winds through both enclosed woodland (inclosures) and more open heathland glades typical of the Forest. Waymarking is clear. You may encounter ponies, cattle and donkeys grazing freely, so keep alert and give them space. The bridleway is shared with horses and cyclists, so expect to meet other users.

Dogs are welcome on the open-access bridleway but should be kept under control, especially near grazing livestock and during bird-nesting season (March to July). Gravel can become muddy in wet weather, so appropriate footwear is advised. There are no facilities along the route; plan accordingly.
