What to expect
Flat to gently rolling gravel track with clear footing. The open heathland setting means little shelter from wind or sun. You'll encounter free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys, so stay alert and keep dogs under control. The track is easy to navigate; waymarking should be clear. After heavy rain, expect soft patches, though the gravel surface generally drains well.

This is open access land—no charge and no restrictions on entry times. Dogs must be kept under control near livestock and away from ground-nesting birds (March to July).
