Easy walking on level ground underfoot. The footpath crosses open Forest heathland with minimal waymarking needed on such a short route. You may encounter free-roaming ponies, cattle or donkeys grazing nearby. The path can be wet or muddy after rain, so appropriate footwear is advisable.

Dogs are permitted on this open-access land but should be kept under control near grazing animals and away from ground-nesting birds (March to July). The route is free to use. Wear suitable walking shoes with good grip for wet conditions. This is open Forest land with no facilities.
