What to expect
Straightforward walking on open heathland or grassland with easy, level going underfoot. The route is short enough that waymarking is minimal. Good to know
- Dogs welcome (keep under control near livestock & wildlife)
Keep dogs under control around grazing livestock and away from ground-nesting birds (March to July). Wear sturdy shoes if the ground is wet. No facilities at the start; this is free, open-access New Forest terrain with no charges or booking required.
