What to expect
Gravel forest tracks and narrower paths with roots and ruts underfoot. Significant climbs and descents demand strong bike control. Terrain ranges from firm bridleway to soft, wet ground in lower sections, especially after rain. Ponies, cattle and donkeys roam freely—they're not fenced in. Waymarking is clear, though the route's challenging nature suits experienced cyclists comfortable on technical forest riding.
