What to expect
A level, unpaved track with easy underfoot conditions on dry days. After rain, expect muddy patches and possible waterlogging in low spots. The route is generally clear and easy to follow. You may encounter free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys; they're used to walkers but give them space. The path is open and exposed in places.
