What to expect
An unpaved gravel and dirt track with gentle gradients and no significant climbing. The ground can be boggy after rain, so waterproof footwear is advisable. You may encounter free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys on the open access land. The route is well-used and easy to follow, though not formally waymarked.

Dogs are welcome but should be kept under control near livestock and away from ground-nesting birds (March to July). The track is free and open to the public. Mountain bikes and sturdy walking boots suit the surface best. Allow extra time if conditions are wet.
