What to expect
Mostly level or gently rolling ground underfoot, mixing gravel forest tracks and narrower woodland paths. Some sections may be boggy after rain. You'll pass through both enclosed woodland (inclosures) and open heathland grazed by ponies, cattle and donkeys. Waymarks are clear; navigation is straightforward.
