What to expect
Predominantly gravel and grass forest tracks with minimal climbing. The terrain is straightforward and well-waymarked throughout. Expect to share the route with grazing ponies, cattle and donkeys; they are accustomed to cyclists but keep a steady pace and give them space. Ground can be soft or muddy after rain.

Dogs are welcome on open access but must be kept under control near grazing animals and are best avoided on the route during ground-nesting bird season (March to July). Wear appropriate cycling footwear and check conditions after wet weather. No facilities or charge.
