What to expect
Level, paved underfoot with no gradient to speak of. The short duration and solid surface mean mud is rarely an issue. Expect waymarking typical of New Forest footpaths. You may encounter free-roaming ponies, cattle or donkeys grazing nearby; keep dogs close and give livestock space.
